Trystan Dennings, a director, playwright, and producer from Austin, Texas, writes and directs dramas, horror, and horror-comedies about growing up, interpersonal relationships, and the strife of womanhood. She has been working in the theatre world for over a decade, working in both Austin and Los Angeles throughout that time. Trystan creates art that reflects the world around us, both past and present, that holds a mirror to society as a whole, or to individual experiences. She uses her knowledge of history and cultural traditions to hone her craft and breathe new life into live theatre. She emphasizes the importance of upholding and uplifting women’s voices in the industry. Being able to create art and theatre throughout her life has been an honor, and she is excited to continue for many years to come. She is the punk revolution of women in theatre. Her plays include Teenagers: Nothing Important (2022), Ride or Die (2022), and Little Tricks (2023). Her directing credits include The Picture of Dorian Gray, adapted by Gloria Gonzalez (2021), Teenagers: Nothing Important by Trystan Dennings (2022), Overtones by Alice Gerstenberg (2023), Broken Phone by Zach Chasen (2023), and Rock of Ages: In Concert (2025). Her film credits include Tainted Love: a music video (2023) and Pointe of Obsession (2024). Trystan Dennings is the founder of Bimbos Production Co. LLC and the company's Executive Director.
